Amanda Prescott is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and special effects artist known for her original horror creations, defined by Jester’s Scream—her signature, original character. Working across New England and the New York Metropolitan region, she develops her projects from concept to final cut—writing, directing, performing, designing effects, and shaping the sound and edit of her films. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. With over 12 years of self-taught SFX experience and certification from Online Makeup Academy, Amanda blends practical effects with immersive, character-driven storytelling.
JESTER'S SCREAM
Jester’s Scream is an original horror character created by Amanda Prescott, serving as a recurring figure and long-term original IP within her work. Defined by an unsettling presence and a void-like prosthetic jaw, the character’s menacing design inspires fear and has evolved over the years through different iterations of the character and prosthetic. Since debuting online in 2018, Jester’s Scream has become a central and defining element of Amanda’s cinematic horror storytelling.
